The Hotel Hermitage opened its doors Sept. 17, 1910. It was Nashville’s first million-dollar hotel and a symbol of Nashville’s emergence as a major Southern city.
Historic Hotels of Nashville LLC purchased The Hermitage Hotel in June 2000 and renovated the guest rooms and public areas. The hotel reopened on Valentine’s Day 2003 and received the AAA Five-Diamond rating less than nine months later.
The Hermitage Hotel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of Historic Hotels of America and Preferred Hotel Group. It is also home to the historic Capitol Grille and Oak Bar, Nashville’s only Mobil Four-Star and AAA Four-Diamond restaurant.
