Music City Lives Up to Its Name During CMA Music Festival

Summer is here, and every June, Nashvillians expect the return of two things: high temperatures and the CMA Music Festival. The heat and humidity has officially arrived. Now we’re just waiting for the festivities of Fan Fair to start.

In mid-June each year, Nashville celebrates country music through the CMA Music Festival. The four-day event lasts June 11 through 14 and features concerts by the top country artists of today and years past. (For more info, visit www.cmafest.com.)

Tomorrow, the streets will be filled with thousands of country music fans and more cowboy hats than you you’ve ever seen in one place. There is always a sense of excitement downtown during the CMA Music Festival, but for us, the most exciting part of the event is that our hotel is always full of out-of-town guests.

There are many reasons why Nashville visitors chose to stay at The Hermitage Hotel. It might be our reputation as the most luxurious hotel in Nashville or the fact that The Hermitage is often considered a vacation destination itself. Or it could be that we have the perfect location for the CMA Festival – within walking distance of all the concert venues, but still away from the crowds and noise if you need a break. But, perhaps it is because you just never know who you will see at The Hermitage Hotel.

A sampling of country stars that have stayed at The Hermitage includes Waylan Jennings, Randy Travis, Diamond Rio, Reba McIntyre, Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell, The Dixie Chicks, The Gatlin Brothers, John Michael Montgomery, The Judds, Tanya Tucker and Conway Twitty. And you never know who will be dining in The Capitol Grille.

So whether you are country music’s biggest star or country music’s biggest fan, we look forward to having you as our guest during Music City’s most exciting time of the year.
